Nil-Cor Composites Guide

500XP
Novolac Epoxy and Graphite Fiber

Nil-Cor 500XP material is a graphite-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin. The material is black in color and provides excellent resistance to strong acids, salt solutions, solvents, caustics and many chemical combinations. The Nil-Cor 500XP material was developed to compete directly with the more expensive, exotic metal alloys and also provides superb abrasion resistance to moderately erosive services. It is particulary effective in 98% sulfuric acid and in acids with organic contaminants, as well as strong sulivants such as methylene cloride. Nil-Cor 500XP material offers a working temperature range of -50° F to 350° F in severely corrosive environments and service to 425° F in non-corrosive conditions.
